MITROVICA SUMMER UNIVERSITY 2009
SPARK with the University and the Student Parliament has decided to postpone the organization of Mitrovica Summer University 2009. We would like to use this opportunity to apologize and invite you to participate our programs in the future.
Mitrovica Summer University 09 will be held in the Autumn or Winter of 2009. MSU is offering 6 courses during the period of two weeks. Each course will be co-taught by an international professor and a local co-professor. Additionally, for each course an assistant professor, leading workshops in the afternoons, as well as a Logistic Officer providing the Course logistics are appointed. The courses will be taught in English and for some courses translation into Serbian will be provided. Approximately 90 students out of 150 participants will be from Mitrovica, 35 from Southeast Europe and 25 from the EU/other. Scholarships are provided to SEE and local participants.
There will be no tuition fees. Books, readers, accommodation and food will be provided free of charge to students from South East Europe. Travel costs will be reimbursed.
International students do not pay tuition fees, but should cover their own travel costs. In addition, accommodation and food will be provided at modest price. International students should cover their travel costs.
A course lasts 10 working days with 8 hours of daily work (including assignments and homework). The classes are interactive and include lectures, discussions, group work, field trips, assignments, papers and/or presentations. Successful participants will receive an official ECTS-compatible `Summer University Certificate`. Next to the academic courses, parties, drinks, weekend excursions, field trips, sports tournaments, and debates will be organized for all participants!
